The system works by sending a high voltage electrical pulse around the wires of a fence which will give a painful, but safe electric shock to anyone who touches the fence.
This is usually enough to deter the intruder, but any further tampering with the fence, such as leaning a ladder against the wires, or cutting of the wires, will set off the alarm sounder and any additional security equipment.
The system can be configured to activate floodlights, CCTV cameras, remote alarms and auto-diallers, making an undetected perimeter breach virtually impossible. A battery back-up is installed in the control panel which will provide power in the event of mains power failure, ensuring continuous protection of your property.
The system can be arranged into multiple zones to improve detection of the perimeter attack with each zone being monitored from the control keypad. The multi-wire system can be built to form a freestanding barrier, or can be attached to any type of existing fences, gates, or walls, or even to the roof of your property. The installation of an electrified fence, whilst dramatic, is not expensive, especially when compared with the cost of theft and damage caused by intruders. Many sites have also found that their insurance premiums reduce, and that they no longer need to employ security guards. At the vast majority of sites where an electrified fence system has been installed intrusions or attempted intrusions have dropped to zero. Would-be intruders simply move on to easier targets.
